PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) - The death of a patient at Central State Hospital in Petersburg is being investigated as a homicide. A hospital spokesman says the state medical examiners office determined that Justin L. Davis, 22, of Alexandria died from asphyxia due to neck compression.
Staff members found Davis dead in his room in the hospitals forensic mental health unit on Feb. 28. Virginia State Police Sgt. Thomas Molnar confirmed Wednesday that the agency is investigating Davis death as a homicide.
